AN INQUEST was held into the death of a Harlow pensioner.

The inquest was held at the Chelmsford Coroners Court.

It touched upon the death of Joan Mann, aged 83 years, on December 16th, 2016.

The inquest recorded:

“On the 9th December 2016 Joan Doris MANN underwent an uneventful left total knee replacement at Princess Alexandra Hospital. There were no complications, she appeared to be recovering well and her post-operative care was appropriately managed. On the 14th December 2016 she started to deteriorate and although this was recognised, not all steps were taken as expeditiously as they could have been.

“On the balance of probabilities however this would not have altered the outcome.

“She died on the 16th December 2016 at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow”.

YH contacted PAH for a comment but they have not replied.
