A HAUL of medals for Harlow Gymnastics Club in Colchester at the Recreational Essex County Qualifier Levels competition on 2nd and 23rd April 2017.

Trophy and medal joy for Chloe Ashall (14) in the level 4 age 15-18 event, the Passmores student won the overall silver medal along with the gold medal on beam, bronze medal on floor and 4th place rosettes on both vault & bars.

St Marks student, Millie Upton (12) won the overall trophy and bronze medal in the level 5 age 13/15 competition after being awarded with the gold medal for beam, 4th place rosette for bar and 5th place rosette for vault. Birchwood student, Karina Longley (12) received the bronze medal on beam, 4th place rosette on floor and finished in 9th place overall. Holly Montague (12) was awarded the bronze medal on floor and finished in 14th place overall. Florrie Gee (12) won the 5th place overall rosette along with the 5th place rosette for bars and 5th place rosette for beam. Scarlett Baldock (12) finished in 13th place overall after receiving the 6th place rosette for floor, with teammate Poppy Bishop (13) finishing in 15th place overall.

In the level 5 age 11/12 competition, Katie Islin (10) won gold medal on vault, 4th place rosettes for bars & beam and 6th place rosette for floor, picking up the overall 4th place rosette. Passmores student Bethany Porter (11) won the silver medal on floor, 4th place rosette on vault, 5th place rosette on bars and the 6th place overall rosette. Kacey Butler (10), a pupil at Purford Green Primary, was rewarded with the bronze medal on beam, 5th place rosette on floor, 6th place rosette for vault and finished in 7th place overall. Liberty Miller (11) took the 5th place rosette on beam to finish in 8th place overall with teammate Faye Andrews (12) narrowly behind in 9th place.

Emily Pask (7) finished in 16th place overall after winning the bronze medal for bars in the level 2 age 8/9 event. Brooke Hayzelden (9) was awarded 6th place rosettes for vault & bars to finish 12th overall and Harriet Pask (7) received the 6th place rosette for vault to finish 23rd overall. In the same competition, Eliza Swanepoel (9), Kara McMahon (8) and Miya Simpson (8) finished in 10th, 11th & 15th place overall respectively.
Competing in the level 2 age 10/12 event, William Martin Primary pupil, Yasmine Thong (9) finished 4th overall after receiving bronze medals for bars & beam and 4th place rosettes for vault & floor.
Bella Chandler (10) placed 9th overall and was awarded the 6th place rosette on vault in the level 4 age 10/11 competition. Scarlett Chart (9) won 5th place rosette on bars to finish in 10th place overall. Matilda Cook (10) finished in 15th overall after being awarded 6th place rosette on floor. In the same competition, Evie Lees (10), Emily-May Price (10) and Mia Blackall (10) placed 8th, 14th and 19th overall respectively.

In the level 4 age 12/14 competition, April Fifield (14) received 4th place rosettes for beam & floor to finish in 10th place overall, with teammate Ellie Kenway (12) finishing in 23rd place overall.

In the level 3 age 9/10 event, Mia Brine (8), Lucie Mcintyre (9), Lexie Bonney (10), Ruby May Vaux (10) and Kira Henson (9) finished in 12th, 23rd, 24th, 26th and 28th place respectively. Evie Jamieson (10), Caitlin Berry (10) and Yasmin Akram (10) finished in 23rd, 28th & 32nd place respectively in the level 3 age 11/12 competition.

Harlow Coach Belinda Macintosh said, “We are so proud of all our gymnasts, they were a joy to watch, it was lovely to see them win so many trophies, medals and rosettes.”
