THE Homeless Period Harlow to collect women’s sanitary products at this year’s Farm Fest on August 12th

The Homeless Period Harlow, an initiative to ensure that no woman in Harlow goes without adequate sanitary protection regardless of income, will be collecting sealed sanitary products at this year’s Farm Fest.

Project founder Laura Davidson said: “We’re really excited to be teaming up with The Herts and Essex Community Farm, to collect these items to ensure that all women across Harlow never have to chose between food and sanitary protection, whatever their age or income.”

“We are asking that all guests bring any sealed sanitary items, from pads to tampons, to Farm Fest to donate.”

The donated items will be passed onto The Harlow Food Bank and to schools and community centres in the local area, where women can discreetly collect them.

Farm Fest is a local festival, organised by Harlow’s urban farming project, Herts and Essex Community Farm, based in Foldcroft, which takes place on August 12th.
