HARLOW MP, Robert Halfon, has been appointed Vice-Chair of the New Towns All-Party-Parliamentary-Group which will be working hard for regeneration, housing and infrastructure for new towns across the UK.
The Group will be supported by the Town and Country Planning Association who have produced an interesting case study of the history and needs of Harlow. (Please find attached)
Robert Halfon said,
“This group is really important because a lot of the issues facing New Towns are similar cross the country and working together we can achieve a lot more.
My hope is to build an even better Harlow, including getting a new hospital built. I recently met with the Chief Executive of Harlow Council and the Chief Executive of Princess Alexandra Hospital so that we can work together locally on this too. My involvement in the New Towns group will allow me to give Harlow a strong voice and I will keep working hard to get us the investment we need.”
