PEAR Tree Mead took 15 school council reps and their head boy, head girl and deputies to the Harlow Foodbank to deliver their harvest donations.

The students had a tour and saw how their donations would be sorted, date checked, stored and boxed for families and adults that are in crisis.

The students also had a go at some of the donations and meeting some of the volunteers

Headteacher Christine Peden said: ‘It was a lovely opportunity for our children to see where our harvest donations go and how they will be used. The work of the foodbank is so important to support people who are in crisis.’
