Passmores Pop Choir light up Bush Fair

PASSMORES Pop Choir got the audience into the festive mood when they were invited to sing at the Bush Fair ‘Christmas Light Up’ last Thursday evening (7th December). Singing seasonal favourites including ‘Silent Night’, ‘Santa Baby’ and a rousing chorus of ‘Jingle Bells’, the girls were ably accompanied on piano by Passmores’ teacher Miss Schultschik.

Jenna Buller, a regular in the choir and performer in Passmores school productions said, ‘it was a cold night but so welcoming. Everyone got involved and joined in with the singing’.

Miss Schultschik has been working with the girls for the past year, and explained that many of the choir members nearly didn’t make it to the event, as they had been out on school trips that day: ‘We had a real panic, but literally within seconds a choir of three turned into a full choir. It was bitter cold but there was lots of audience participation and kids singing along. Little toddlers and ‘Jingle Bells’ is so much fun!’

The choir has a packed schedule before Christmas and by popular demand will be performing at Passmores Senior Citizens’ Tea Party, Sumners Care Home and Passmores Christmas Concert this week.
