A KIND-hearted Harlow business has stepped into save the day and provide a home for homeless man, John Jones.

The case of John Jones hit the headlines after YH reported that his caravan was towed away by Essex County Council from its spot on Commonside Road because it was an “unlawful encampment.”.

The consequence was that 63-year-old John was left at the mercy of the elements and had to rely on the goodwill of Harlow people who provided tents, food and clothing.

The story made national headlines as people became very concerned for his welfare. A petition was set up which has 34,000 signatures.

But the story took a dramatic twist, when Harlow business KP Property Development, stepped in and offered a small plot of land in the area onto which John Jones could place a caravan.

Robin Pitt (pictured) said: “We were just happy to help and see a Harlow man, who has had a problem, re-homed.”

Thank goodness someone has come forward with a genuine offer for this man. Now, at least he can begin to live his life, in the way HE wants to, without fear of his home being taken from him again. Well done KP Property Development.

I would like to say well done to all the staff at KP property development for offer Mr Jones hope and putting a roof over Mr Jones's head. At least there are still some organizations in Harlow and Essex that have members with a heart unlike the councillors of the two main parties of Harlow. Shame on both parties councillors. Labour for not helping Mr Jones to be housed and Tories for putting in this situation in the first place. The future is bright for now on and once again a big thanks to all at KP property development. From Cllr Dan long and ukip Harlow.
