Update: 2100 hrs

Firefighters were called to assist at the scene of a road traffic collision this evening.

On arrival, crews reported that a car and a van had collided, leaving one person trapped in the car and the van alight.

Firefighters freed the man from his car by 8.40pm, before leaving him in the care of the Ambulance Service and liaising with the Highways Department to make the scene safe.

2030 hrs

THE link road from the #M11 southbound at J6 to the #M25 at J27 (anti-clockwise) is CLOSED due to a collision and vehicle fire. Emergency services are at scene. Diverted traffic should continue onto the #M25 clockwise until J28, then turn around and return.
