THE Harvey Centre in Harlow is delighted to announce the official launch of its food quarter ‘The Terrace’. The occasion was marked with an exciting free event for the whole family on the afternoon of Saturday 17th February.

Shoppers enjoyed an abundance of free entertainment inside the centre. Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman and Supergirl journeyed through the centre to wow and amaze shoppers. Chefs on stilts wandered around the centre to surprise shoppers with their hilarious antics and larger than life personas. Skaters meandered around the centre’s malls handing out offers and vouchers to shoppers. There was also a free photo booth situated in The Terrace, where visitors could dress-up with food inspired props and get snapped.

Restaurants within the centre provided additional entertainment on the day. Sticky Sisters handed out balloons and mini eggs for the kids, plus there was a sample table outside the restaurant for shoppers to enjoy. There were also lots of discounts to enjoy at Sticky Sisters, including 15% off on the day and free meals for kids. Subway offered discount and meal deal vouchers. Burger Priest handed out £5 meal deal flyers, and there was food to sample outside their restaurant too. Burger King offered free ice cream samples, dress-up crowns and colouring books to shoppers, and there were great food offers on the day. Kung Fu The Real China Oriental Buffet offered a 10% discount on the day and Cineworld offered £1 off on popcorn when purchasing tickets.

The Harvey Centre also ran an exciting social media competition on Saturday 17th February, with the winner receiving an incredible year’s worth of free food at The Terrace’s restaurants. This unbelievable prize could be won by simply liking and sharing the event on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. People could then double their chances of winning by attending the launch, taking a photo in the photo booth, and putting it on social media – tagging The Harvey Centre in the picture. A winner will be announced shortly.

It has been a truly exciting period for The Harvey Centre. From the launch of Cineworld in December 2016, to the opening of Sticky Sisters and Burger Priest at the end of 2017 – it’s been a very busy couple of years. The Terrace now boasts restaurants including Sticky Sisters, Burger Priest, Burger King, Kung Fu The Real China Oriental Buffet and Subway, as well as a Cineworld Cinema. There is something for all tastes and styles, and with parking adjacent to The Terrace, it couldn’t be easier for customers to visit.

Bryan Young, Centre Manager at The Harvey Centre says, “This is an incredible time for Harlow. In the past we’ve had a fairly limited night time leisure offer in the town and our goal was to change this and respond to residents’ demands. Thanks to The Terrace, Harlow is becoming a bustling town once again, where people want to come after work with friends and family to eat and drink in a variety of family friendly restaurants before checking out the latest blockbuster at Cineworld.”
