TV celebrity Emma Willis has been working in the Maternity Department at Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH).

The presenter of The Voice will work a tough 13-hour shift pattern four times a week in the PAH hospital for documentary series Emma Willis: Delivering Babies.

‘I’ve always wanted to deliver babies and to work in a hospital,’ she told The Mirror of her latest project.

Mother-of-three Emma kicked off her gruelling shifts earlier in April.

While she won’t be delivering babies as such, the Big Brother star will be tasked with working as a maternity care assistant.

‘My mum did it. She worked on a labour ward for 15 years and then she worked in a theatre. I’ve grown up around hospitals. I love the body. I love blood.

‘I can’t train as a midwife as I’d have to go to university so this is the next best thing.’
