PRINCESS Alexandra Hospital in Town centre to answer your healthy living questions during NHS 70th birthday celebrations

We hear more and more how the decisions we make about our daily lives can have an effect on our health outcomes. With so much information coming our way, it is important to hear from health professionals to help us make good lifestyle choices. Each year, the National Health Information Week in July gives NHS professionals a spotlight, but this year it will have even more significance – National Health Information Week 2018 coincides with the NHS 70th birthday celebrations.

So if you have questions you have been wanting to ask, health professionals from The Princess Alexandra Hospital Trust are here to help.

Staff will be in Harlow Town Centre during the week starting 2 July, so come along to get advice and assistance.

If you want to know about diet and other steps to a healthier lifestyle, head to Harlow Central Library in the town centre on Monday 2 July. Hospital staff from the Trust’s Harlow Healthcare Library will be on hand to celebrate Healthy Lifestyles and answer your questions at their activities and information stall.

On NHS 70 day, Thursday 5 July, Princess Alexandra Hospital will be hosting a series of stands at the Harvey Centre, so come along to help celebrate the great things your local NHS hospital, hospices and community services are achieving. It’s your chance to take part! The day runs from 11am to 2pm.

Harlow MP Robert Halfon and the chair of Harlow Council, Maggie Hulcoop, will be on hand to launch the event at 11.30am and to support the celebrations with Harlow’s local hospital. Among other activities, join in a free exercise session, and hear from a range of health services. And to show you were there for the NHS 70th milestone, it’s your chance to make a pledge as your part in ensuring the NHS’s future.

Meanwhile, back at the hospital, patients and visitors will be able to view a display arranged by Harlow Museum. The display, themed around the history of the NHS, will be located in the visitor centre at the hospital, in Hamstel Road, Harlow CM20 1QX.
