Harlow’s HTS Group takes on Three Peaks Challenge for local hospice

Harlow Council’s local environmental and property maintenance company, HTS Group, have once again stepped up to the challenge in supporting West Essex and East Herts charity, St Clare Hospice.

Following their second year of supporting St Clare Hospice as their charity of choice, managers and directors at HTS Group will this year take on the nationally respected Three Peaks Challenge from 15th – 16th September 2018, in celebration of their charity-business partnership.

The participating group, the ‘HTS Hikers,’ who are taking on the Three Peaks Challenge, include:

The HTS Hikers will leave from Harlow on Friday 14th September, beginning their 24-hour trek on the following Saturday. The challenging hike involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft) – much of which includes uneven footpaths and weather-dependent treacherous conditions to be completed during the night and early hours of the morning.

HTS Group’s 2018 challenge follows on from last year’s team of six, ‘Raff’s Pedalers,’ who completed a 240-mile cycle from Harlow to Mount Snowdon in Wales, followed by the ascent of the 1,085m (3559ft) mountain. The team raised almost £5,000 in vital funding for St Clare Hospice from their challenge, which took place on Thursday 7th September 2017.
