The M25 in Essex is currently closed anti-clockwise between J28 – J27 due to a serious collision. Essex Police are on scene with the East of England Ambulance service. All trapped traffic has been released but the road is expected to remain closed for several hours for Essex Police investigation work.

Road users are asked to follow the “hollow square” diversion route: Exit the M25 at J28 and take the A12 towards London. Follow the A12 through Gants Hill, and Redbridge Interchange. At the roundabout with A12 and A406 (North Circular Road) take 3rd exit on to A406 north towards the M11. At the M11 junction 4, bear left onto the slip road to join the M11 towards Cambridge. Take the Exit at M11 Junction 6 and bear left to re-join the M25 at J27. Please allow extra time for your journey, should you be travelling in the area.
