VETERANS from the Harlow Branch of the Royal British Legion and children of Far East Prisoners of WaR were joined by the chair and vice chair of Harlow Council at a VJ Day Service of Remembrance.

The service was held down at the Netteswell Cross in the Town Park.

Victory over Japan Day (also known as V-J Day, Victory in the Pacific Day, or V-P Day) is the day on which Imperial Japan surrendered in World War II, in effect bringing the war to an end.
