PUPILS and staff at Holy Cross Primary Academy have produced a fitting memorial to those who gave their lives in WW1.
The beautiful poppy memorial is at the front of the school on Tracyes Road.
Each pupil brought in a plastic bottle. The bottom was cut off. Member of staff, Mrs Laporte collected them all together and with help from other members of staff created what is clearly a very fitting dedication.
Headteacher, Sue McGuiggen said: “It was a wonderful team effort and a particularly poignant commemoration at this time.
“We are proud of all of the children and staff involved.”
Fantastic effort by the staff ,and pupils and parents, to produce such a fitting tribute and memorial to the Armed Forces who gave their lives for the generations to come. "For your to-morrow, we gave our to-day". RIP.
