HOW to stay safe around dogs was the topic of a workshop given to primary school children.
Key Stage 2 pupils at Roydon Primary Academy, in Roydon, worked with the Dog’s Trust to understand more about handling their own pets and dogs belonging to others.
Headteacher Michael Clark said: “The Dog’s Trust came and gave an assembly to children last year and it was really well received.
“This time, they gave a workshop on dog safety as that is something children need to know. They need to know how to handle them and to know that just because they have a friendly dog, they can’t assume all dogs are the same.”
Those who attended the workshop are leading assemblies to pass on their knowledge to their younger peers.
