Pemberley teachers impress pupils with version of Shotgun by George Ezra

Education: Primary / Wed 20th Feb 2019 at 04:06pm

THE Pemberley staff band have this week seen their end of half term concert for the children go viral with the video being watched as far away as India and South Africa.

The video shows the children and staff performing the song ‘Shotgun’ by George Ezra and this formed part of the main assembly the Friday before the school broke for half term. It has now been viewed over 3500 times and has 50 shares via the schools Facebook page.

Headteacher Neil Coster said: “The staff wanted to put on a little concert as a treat for the children before the holidays and when they all got so involved in singing along it became a beautiful spectacle.

We initially posted the video, as we often do, via our Facebook page which allows the parents to see what their children are up to. The initial response has been so positive and for over 3500 people to have watched the video is overwhelming.

“This is reflective of the relationships that most schools have with their children and I hope that people seeing this will remind them of just how far all schools go to make it a wonderful experience for their own pupils.”

Mr Coster also added: “If George Ezra wants to pop by at any stage and see us I’d be more than happy to have him in for a coffee!”
