PLANS for 163 more homes in Newhall are set to go before the Harlow Council Planning Committee.

The application site covers an irregular shaped piece of land within Newhall Phase 2. It is located to the east of London Road, to the north east of the A414/Enterprise Zone Link Road, in the south-western part of Old Harlow ward. The site is not within a Conservation Area. There are no listed buildings within the site nor in the surrounding area.

This applicant proposes to erect 163 dwellings as the next Phase of development (CP2A) of Newhall Phase 2. The scheme will provide 246 car parking spaces for future residents, 30 visitor parking spaces and 4 disabled parking spaces (total 280 spaces).

The proposal includes six 1-bed properties, forty-four 2-bed properties, eighty-four 3-bed properties and twenty-nine 4-bed properties. 21 of the 163 dwellings would be flats and 142 would be houses.

25 dwellings are proposed as affordable housing – four 1-bed units, thirteen 2-bed units, five 3-bed units and three 4-bed units.
