Tany’s Dell cheerleaders win double.

TWO cheerleading teams from Tany’s Dell Primary school went to Chelmsford on Thursday 28th March to represent Harlow in the Essex County Cheerleading finals. The teams had qualified after previously competing against other Harlow Primary Schools in the town’s own competition.

Tany’s Dell sent a small team from lower key stage two and a small team from upper key stage two to the county finals event. Both teams came first in their category, beating a range of other schools from across the whole of Essex. They all walked away with gold medals and big smiles on their faces.

Miss Wilson (Teacher and cheerleading coach) said “Since the team was formed in November, we have been working hard to try and improve our routine. The girls work really well as a team and are so supportive of each other. Seeing the excitement on their faces when they were announced as the winners was priceless. All their hard work paid off.”

Miss Nicholson (PE co-ordinator and cheerleading coach) said “The girls have worked extremely hard and I am really proud of them. In my 5 years at Tany’s Dell, we have never won gold at a county event and today we did it twice. We are very proud of them all.”
