Harlow pays its respects on Armed Forces Day
History / Mon 24th Jun 2019 pm30 12:20pm
TODAY (24 June) Harlow Council held a flag raising ceremony outside the Civic Centre, to honour and remember members of the armed forces.
Members of the Royal British Legion joined the Chair of Harlow Council, Councillor Clive Souter, for a short service paying tribute to those who have fought and given their lives for our freedom and safety.
The Armed Forces Day flag was raised and will remain up all week in the run-up to Armed Forces Day itself on Saturday 29 June.
A very rare pat on the back, from me, to Harlow Council. Well done.
