STAFF and pupils at Latton Green Primary School were amazed when they opened the post and found a letter from Royalty.
The Duchess of Cornwall congratulated the staff on their Bedtime Stories initiative that began in March, where teachers stream reading a bedtime story live to pupils through Facebook.
The school also received a collection of books from the Duchess to share with the pupils.
Staff and pupils were astounded to find out that the Duchess of Cornwall knew about their small school in Harlow and their Bedtime Stories which they enjoy each fortnight.
The initiative has been a huge success attracting a lot of media attention during the year, and staff, pupils and parents are looking forward to Bedtime Stories continuing after the summer holidays.
Latton Green also posted a video to Clarence House on Twitter with young students thanking the Duchess of Cornwall and asking about the Queen’s bedtime habits.
We were amazed to receive your letter and gift @ClarenceHouse. Our children couldn’t believe you knew all about our ‘Bedtime Stories’, so here is a little message for you… @RoyalFamily @davidwalliams @thismorning @bbceducation @MailOnline @NETacademies pic.twitter.com/8ARJyHGH7J
