Person fined close to £3,000 over use of Pink Cottage despite prohibition order

A PERSON has been fined close to £3,000 for contravening a banning order in relation to a restaurant premises in Harlow.

Fatema Tuj Zohura, aged 41, of Nelson Walk, London pled guilty at Chelmsford magistrates court to the following.

On 03/05/2018 at Harlow, knowing that an emergency prohibition order under section 43 of the Housing Act 2004, had become operative in relation to specified premises, namely The Pink Cottage, Commonside Road , without reasonable excuse, used the premises in contravention of the order in that on 6 November 2018 you failed to comply with the requirements of the Notice by using or permitting use of the premises in contravention of the Emergency Prohibition Order. .

On 03/05/2018 at Harlow, the defendant, knowing that an emergency prohibition order under section 43 of the Housing Act 2004, namely (1) Prohibit the use of the first and second floor accommodation for any use., had become operative in relation to specified premises, namely The Pink Cottage, Commonside Road, Harlow, without reasonable excuse, used the premises in contravention of the order in that on 6 November 2018 you failed to comply with the requirements of the Notice by using or permitting use of the premises in contravention of the Emergency Prohibition Order.

The complainer was Harlow Council.

Zohura was fined £2,759.85
