STORIES magazine produced by Magnificent Stuff, is set to relaunch this summer with a wider and more refined purpose.
From September, the quarterly publication will serve as a newsletter to support the work of the Discover Harlow team and its Ambassador programme, bringing together businesses, organisations and individuals with a shared vision for developing a successful economy for the area.
John Keddie, Chair of the Place Board which oversees the work of Discover Harlow comments, “Together we will tell Harlow’s story as a place to start and grow businesses, raise families, spend leisure time and money”
The purpose of the magazine is :
To drive confidence in Harlow
To celebrate living and working in Harlow
To drive membership to Harlow’s Ambassadors programme
To encourage collaboration between organisations, businesses and individuals
To communicate regularly to Ambassadors and loyal supporters
To become the authoritative voice in local business and all that Harlow and surrounding areas has to offer
To positively attract visitors, investors and business owners from outside of the area
Stories, formerly produced in Association with Harlow and District Chamber of Commerce has been established since 2012 and shares good news stories, case studies, tips and advice from real people in the area. Contributors over the years include politicians, entrepreneurs and even an ex MI5 agent!
Maintaining a contemporary design and it’s USP of not being cluttered by advertising or paid-for space the title will work hard to complement the content and offering of other titles in the area such as YourHarlow.com and The CM CONNECTION portfolio.
Content will continue to be digestible and compelling, appealing to a varied audience, with strong calls to action, encouraging readers to do something as a result of reading – make a call, visit a website or destination and most of all to talk about and share what they’ve read.
Emma Knewstub, Director of Magnificent Stuff adds, “To make sure the title has value it needs to have some ‘stickiness’ and so content in and surrounding the title needs to be useful, entertaining and informative – we want people to pick up a copy, have a read and then share.”
Content for the relaunched title will include:
New places to love
Feature business – case study/spotlight
Showcase member – who they are and what they do
Celebrating the local area – best meeting spots, tips for co-working in the area
Developing the area – the latest planning news/developments
Life Stories
