THE HARVEY Centre, Harlow is thrilled at the success of their charity mini golf event which ran from Sunday 4th – Saturday 10th August to raise money for LandAid.
Lots of families took to the course during the week-long event and contributed an amazing £1,276 to the charity!
Feedback from customers who participated was fantastic, with lots of families thoroughly enjoying the experience.
LandAid is the property industry charity, working to end youth homelessness in the UK. They invest over £2 million every year in projects across the UK.
The funds raised at The Harvey Centre could be enough to provide a new kitchen in a home for young people in need turning a place of shelter into a place of comfort and a real home.
They bring together businesses and individuals from across the industry to support charities delivering life-changing projects for young people, who are or have been homeless, or who are at risk of homelessness.
LandAid works alongside its projects for a number of years, providing strategic advice, bringing in property expertise, and in many cases funding them on more than one occasion.
Paul Morrish, Chief Executive at LandAid says, “A huge thanks to everyone who took part in The Harvey Centre’s golf tournament. The valuable funds raised will help young homeless people from across the UK by helping to provide accommodation for them and giving them the tools they need to move forward to a brighter future – thank you.”
Bryan Young, Centre Manager at The Harvey Centre says, “We’re thrilled at the success of this fun initiative that has raised such a large amount of money in such a short space of time. LandAid is a hugely worthwhile charity that touches the lives of many young people, right across the UK, so we are proud that the funds raised have gone to such a good cause.”
