Jimmy Jones returns to the Harlow Playhouse

HE promised that he would come back…After 7 years, Legendary stand-up comedian Jimmy Jones has confirmed his Autumn return to the Harlow Playhouse theatre for an evening of his renowned humour in ‘Almost’, the Guvnor’s Last Stand!
Supported by fellow Essex comedian, Mickey Pugh, fans are in for a night to remember from the revered Guvnor of stand-up comedy.

Jimmy has performed in countries all over the world in a career that has spanned seven decades.

His unique brand of adult humour has in one respect kept him off main stream TV, but it has also inspired many of today’s top comics and entertained the elite.

Just some of the many who cite him as their favourite comedian include bands Iron Maiden & Status Quo; celebrities Tom Selleck, Eddie Grant, Bill Wyman and the late Benny Hill & Dudley Moore.

His fan base includes members of the Royal family and his popularity saw him work for The Krays and the crime family that ran the City of Las Vegas.

His nickname of The Guvnor was bestowed upon him by fellow comedians Frank Carson, Jim Davidson, Bobby Davro, Jim Bowen – the list goes on.

Jimmy’s fans will be aware that he is an ‘Essex boy’ born and bred.

From the bright lights of Las Vegas to a one man show at The London Palladium, Jimmy has played them all and now, on Saturday 5th October 2019 the comedy legend returns…
