STUDENTS from Pemberley Academy were so impressed by a visit from Junior park run course directors that they went along to take part on Sunday.

Over thirty students went to the town park on Sunday morning.

Among the participants was Year 5’s Alex Gunov who came home in the 2k run in 8 mins and 52 seconds.

Three members of staff and numerous parents also took part.

Headteacher, Neil Coster said: “This was another great chance to get the children active and also shine a spotlight on what goes on locally, Pemberley is located so close to the town park and there were families who had no idea the event took place.

“It’s our hope that many of them will take this opportunity to utilise the park run on a weekly basis to get active.
