A CEREMONY took place outside the Civic Centre in The Water Gardens to mark the end of World War One on November 11th, 1918.

The ceremony involved a number of short speeches including one by the chair of Harlow Council, cllr Clive Souter.

A two minute silence was observed not only by those present but also by shoppers in the Water Gardens area.
