HARE STREET PRIMARY ACHIEVES OUTSTANDING OFSTED
HARLOW school, Hare Street Primary, has become the first school in Essex to be rated Outstanding in every category by Ofsted under the new inspection framework which was introduced last year.
Located in the heart of the community, Hare Street was recognised by the Ofsted inspectors for the exceptional environment it creates for its pupils, supporting them both in their learning and their social development.
With a higher than average number of pupils from less advantaged backgrounds, Hare Street has been commended for setting ambitious expectations of all of its pupils, whilst also equipping them with the skills and ability to achieve those expectations.
Headteacher, Tim Voss, commented: “The Ofsted result is testament to the hard work and dedication of all of our staff and students over a long period of time and through challenging budgetary circumstances. Together, we are delighted that our staff and pupils can continue to take pride in being part of such a special place.
“We firmly believe that every child needs to be seen as an individual and work hard to create a school where everyone can thrive regardless of background or ability.”
Hare Street had previously been rated Good at an Ofsted which took place in September 2018.
“The move to Outstanding gives local children in Harlow access to a school with exemplary standards alongside a culture which nurtures and encourages creativity”.
