CHILDREN were encouraged to be active, brave and creative during a lively assembly.
Pupils at Cooks Spinney Primary Academy, in Harlow, enjoyed a session with Phoenix Theatre Group.
Headteacher Neil Stirrat said: “The visit was about encouraging children to take up drama and performing arts. We give lots of opportunities for our children to get involved in performing arts at school.
“We also like to promote external groups our children can join. We have a good relationship with Phoenix and they do lots of great things, including supporting us with our performing arts curriculum.
“The children loved it.”
The visit was to also promote the Phoenix Saturday club at fellow BMAT school Burnt Mill Academy.
