Milwards Year 3 pupils showcase their work at the Gibberd Gallery

Education: Primary / Thu 12th Mar 2020 at 01:50am

RECENTLY, Year 3 children from Milwards Primary School and Nursery showcased their artwork at the Harlow Gibberd Gallery.

It was an exciting opportunity for the children to speak to members of the public about their work and the techniques they had applied to the pieces of work they had produced.

The children’s work was inspired by starry night by Vincent Van Gogh. To coincide with the children’s topic “People, Passions and Progress,” an additional element was added to the children’s artwork: a silhouette of each child’s individual passion. The evening was well attended and the children represented themselves extremely well.

They were able to speak confidently about their work, developing key skills which they will use in their life. Members of staff from the school were very proud of the children and would like to congratulate them on their efforts.

The exhibit will remain in the Gibberd Gallery for the next couple of weeks in Harlow Civic Centre. Feel free to pop in and see the children’s wonderful achievements.
