Statement on behalf of The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust

Lance McCarthy, chief executive, for The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust said:

“We can confirm that sadly, nine patients, aged between 65 and 91 who each had underlying conditions, have passed away at The Princess Alexandra Hospital. They had tested positive for COVID-19.

“Our thoughts and condolences remain with the patient’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.”

It brings to 14 the number who have died of the disease at PAH.
