Announcement of COVID-19 related deaths

Statement on behalf of The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust

Lance McCarthy, chief executive, for The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust said:

“We can confirm that sadly, eight patients, aged between 69 and 90 years old, who had underlying conditions have passed away at The Princess Alexandra Hospital. They had tested positive for COVID-19.

“Our thoughts and condolences remain with the patient’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.”

The following number of deaths were previously announced on the following days

On Mon March 30th: 9 deaths

On Sat March 28th: 1 death

On Thurs March 26th: 3 deaths

On Mon March 23rd: 1 death

That brings a total of 22.
