A HARLOW man is set to stand trial over an allegation of a sex offence against a child.

Tyler Jenns, aged 24, of Radburn Close, Harlow has been charged with the following.

Between 31/07/2018 and 23/08/2018 at Harlow, being a person aged 18 or over, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification, intentionally communicated with a child, a person under 16 who you did not reasonably believe to be 16 or over, the communication being sexual, namely over Instagram messenger has sent explicit photos of his genitals, sent internet links of pornography and asked the victim to send photos of her genitals to him.

Jenns’ case will next be at Chelmsford Crown Court in Monday April 6th where, due to the coronavirus pandemic, it will be adjourned (administratively) until May 4th.

Jenns has pleaded not guilty and the court has directed a trial by jury.
