ST CLARE Hospice’s amazing volunteer, Rose Morris, has completed their Virtual 5K not once – but three times!

Rose is a great community champion in Harlow. She has popped up in a number of YH stories. She read one of our WW1 dedications, she is one of the techies for MHP Theatre but has appeared in a cameo role on stage.

Rose also volunteers with St Clare Hospice in Day Therapy, often hosting wonderful mindfulness and relaxation sessions for their patients.

However, with their Day Therapy service temporarily closed, Rose found a new way of supporting St Clare in her free time…

When Rose first took part in their Virtual 5K on 31st March, she challenged four of her Facebook friends to donate just £5 each in sponsorship for St Clare – with a promise that if she raised £20, she would do it all again in the morning.

Multiply Rose’s clever tactic by two, and as of 2nd April, she has completed 15K worth of walking around Harlow town in the early morning sunshine!

In total, Rose has now raised over £200 for St Clare Hospice by taking part in our Virtual 5K. Who knows what she will do next if we can raise even more for this inspirational St Clare volunteer?!
