Let it Grow Guys, and support Harlow Foodbank

TOWN Chaplain Revd Robert Findlay together with St Peter’s Church in Roydon have laid down a challenge to all the men in Harlow and the villages to “Release their inner Hipster and raise vital funds for Harlow Foodbank in the process”.

The rules of the St Peter’s Beard Competition are quite straight forward:
From today, Easter Sunday, until Pentecost (Sunday 31st May) or the end of the lockdown (to be determined at the Judge’s discretion), guys are being encourage to “let it grow” in terms of facial hair!

Those wanting to participate are ask to submit a “Before” photo (jpeg only please) to Jess Wells ([email protected]) by 6pm on Monday 13th April (late entries will be accepted). Participants will the be asked to submit an “After” photo to Jess by 6 pm on Saturday 30th May or as notified.

All entries will be displayed on the St Peter’s website (www.roydonstpeters.org).

Prizes will be awarded for the following categories:

The Full Beard
The Goatee
The Moustache

Entries will be judged by Revd Robert Findlay.

Participants are encouraged to seek Sponsorship or Donations in aid of Harlow Foodbank (MRCT) and these can be made at https://localgiving.org/fundraising/stpetersroydonbeardcomp/

Harlow Foodbank are continuing to provide support to the most vulnerable in our community and need this ongoing support.
