Covid-19: Government explains why they don’t publish recovery rates

UNDERSTANDABLY, many of our readers have asked why, when we report on the number of deaths at Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) in Harlow, we have not reported on the number of people who have recovered.
That is a very fair question.
ITV’s Robert Peston asked the Department of Heath and Social Care. (DHSC) for an explanation.
Their response is below.
For the record, other countries do report on recovery rates. Please see below.
Interesting response from the government who 'want to make sure we record and report ... in the most accurate and useful way ...'. So, having initially reported only on deaths from Corona virus in hospitals before realising a major oversight of those who died in care homes and residences, is deemed 'accurate'? Creating a climate of fear by constantly broadcasting the number of deaths alone is 'useful'? Wouldn't it have offered hope to all by talking about those who recovered? Or is drawing attention away from the government's apparent inability to contain the situation and as a result have the highest number of deaths - in Europe - supposed to avoid being 'misleading'? The government surely needs prayer for wisdom and discernment. (Romans 13:6).
