TWO of our readers were taking their evening walk around Nicholls Field when they saw a large number of young men playing Basketball on the multi activity court.

There are a number of signs saying sport is prohibited. The whole area is sealed off with tape but that has been torn down.

Exasperated, our reader took a short film, which we will pass on to the police and hope they will take action (commensurate with other duties etc).

Our reader said: “My wife and I see things like this almost every other day at the moment at Nicholls Field public playground while we have our constitutional walk.

“The playground is currently closed. There are signs all over the place saying it’s shut and the tape is torn down daily.

“Unless these men all live in the same ten bed house, they clearly could not give a monkeys”.
