Hoop nightmares as basketball court in Harlow vandalised

A BASKETBALL court in Harlow has been seriously damaged despite being “out of bounds” for the past few months.
Since March the court in Nicholls Field park has been “closed” as part of Covid-19 restrictions.
Harlow Council had placed tape around it and well as a number of signs informing people that it was closed.
But this has been largely ignored. The tape and the signs have been torn down. The area is also littered with discarded water bottles.
But what is worse is that one of the hoops has been torn down and another is close to being off its hinges.
The irony is that pre Covid-19 the court has been largely deserted for years.
YH has contacted Harlow Council for a comment.
