Limber up for the St Clare 10k!
IT’S time to get your running shoes out once more for the annual St Clare 10k, taking place here at the Hospice on Sunday 13th September 2020, with the race setting off at 10:30am.
Having been re-scheduled from April 2020 due to the coronavirus outbreak, we are delighted that our 26th annual St Clare 10k Race will be happening this autumn!
The event is ideal for regular running club members looking to boost their training, as well as those who are new to running but looking for a challenge! If you have been using your free time during lockdown to get off the couch and start your running journey – then this event is the perfect chance to put your new found fitness and love of running to the test!
This year’s event will have additional safety measures in place due to the Covid-19 outbreak to ensure the fundraiser can go ahead safely, including: social distancing measures in the registration area, a rolling start, and disposable chip timers. The event will be run according to the Run Britain Covid-19 road race guidelines which are updated in accordance with government guidelines.
Join us once again for the yearly Essex 10k road race, which last year raised over £15,000 for the Hospice – and help us raise even more in vital funding to recover from the effects of coronavirus on our fundraising income.
Advance entry is £14 (£12 for affiliated runners), or an additional £3 on the day (£17 non affiliated runners and £15 for affiliated runners). Please note, participants must be aged 15 years or above. Please note: the race results, including your name, time and running club (if applicable), will be displayed on the St Clare Hospice website and racesonline.uk, our chip-timing provider’s website.
