WILLIAM Martin CofE School on Tawneys Road, was thrilled to learn that one of their pupils, Mya-Faith Gibson aged 7, won the Corona Heroes Badge Competition organised by the Rt. Hon. Robert Halfon MP over the lockdown period.
The competition was an opportunity for children to design a badge celebrating the hard work of the NHS and other key workers.
Mya-Faith said she was very surprised and happy to win the competition and was looking forward to receiving a prize from her local MP.
She was also given a Head Teachers Award for her fantastic design work.
Mrs Gina Bailey, Executive Head Teacher, said she was very proud of Mya-Faith. “We always encourage our pupils to work hard and have the confidence to try new things.
“She is an excellent pupil, who has shown how important is to always have a go at fresh challenges – because you never know you might overcome them and in this case you might even win!
“Well done Mya-Faith!”
