ST Mark’s West Essex Catholic School has confirmed a case of Covid-19.
The Tripton Road school wrote to parents and guardians on Tuesday morning telling them they had taken advice from Public Health England (PHE) and were taking the necessary steps.
The school told parents that “children who have been in close contact with the individual who has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) have received a letter asking them to stay at home for 14 days”.
The school has given detailed advice and information parents, guardians and pupils.
St Mark’s joins a number of educational institutions in Essex that have had a person contract Covid-19.
The list includes: University of Essex in Colchester, Woodside Primary in Grays, Great Baddow High School and St John Payne Catholic School in Chelmsford to name just a few.
Why no news on the crown old Harlow, having had positive Covid results on all staff and owners? Think it’s been closed! It was like the chequers in some respects, not going by the book etc on Covid rules. Or any other really! First weekend reopened had late night lock. in this isn’t for print, thought you’d like to investigate. It’s worrying who’s at risk, and maybe don’t realise.
