Petition for zebra crossing outside Little Parndon Primary
Burnt Mill Academy / Sun 11th Oct 2020 at 08:14am
A PETITION is calling’s for a zebra crossing outside Little Parndon Primary School.
The petition has been set up by Chloe Mordecai.
Chloe said: “Each day over 400 children attend Little Parndon school in Harlow and Kidz ok nursery which leads out on to the main road which many of these children would cross, but to do so the children are having to run across the road in hope to get across safely.

There is not an option to walk further up the street to find a place of saftey as there is nothing.
“Many of these children would be year 5 and 6 pupils who are trying to prepare themselves for the independence of secondary school, but are restricted of this freedom due to the risks that the road presents”.
The full petition can be found below.

It’s the only primary school I have ever seen. With no sage pedestrian crossing of some sort. It should have been done ages ago.

It's unbelievable that the school head teacher already requested a zebra crossing but the Essex County Council didn't approve this request forcing parents to get organised. It shouldn't have to come to this.
Would be good if Pemberley would get mentioned too. They also have no zebra crossing and they don't even have the yellow school crisscross in the road either.
