Remembrance Sunday: Harlow running community pay their respects
History / Mon 9th Nov 2020 at 12:12pm
THE Harlow running community has always been very respectful of events such as Remembrance Sunday and this year was no exception.
A number of runners used their long Sunday run to pay their respects.
Harlow Running Club stalwart, Jason Fox ran a half marathon course that passed by three of the memorials in the town. Great Parndon, Potter Street and Netteswell Cross.
Whilst he was out running, he passed Lee Webber and Alex Smith who also passed by the memorials as well as the display at Princess Alexandra Hospital.
YH spotted Harlow parkrun co-director, Steve Wright pounding the pavement wearing a running t shirt that pays tribute to those who fell.
Finally, long distance expert Kelly Burgess ran the highways and by-ways out by Hatfield Heath.
Well done to you all and all runners who paid their respects. Less we forget.
