A COMMUNITY-minded landscape gardener has made a generous donation to the Harlow Foodbank.
Kieron Lewis of Lewis Landscapes made his donation on Monday afternoon at the Matching Tye based foodbank.
Chief executive of Harlow Foodbank, Andy Thornton said: “Full credit to Kieron.
He put the word out to clients that he was keen to pick up donations from them.
In total, they donated 340kg, enough for over 700 meals for people in crisis.
This is fantastic work from Kieron. We are very grateful.
“This is happening all over right now (this is an exceptional amount though) and we have one firm, SES Group (security company) packing up over 100 presents to give to kids from families in hardship who we have identified for them.
“Lots more companies are donating all sorts to us and though we are running low on food it is coming in.
I think there is a general feeling that something beneficial has to come out of all this hardship and we are one of the centres of that.
“It’s a very heart-warming aspect of the job here!”
Well done Kieron. For more information on Lewis Landscapes, go to:
