HARLOW resident Rose Morris is a much respected member of our community.
A military veteran , Rose has featured in our paper before from reading WW1 tributes to a valued back stage member of Moot House Players.
What is Rose doing in March and April?
Rose said: “I needed a challenge, so for March I’m doing the 310,000 steps for Samaritans and then in April a marathon in a month for St Clare’s Hospice.
The reason for doing this is because both are close to my heart.
I began as a Samaritan volunteer many years ago which then made me take on to a total change of career leading me into working in mental health.
After often spending time at St Clare’s with patients when I retired it was natural I would volunteer there and have for the past five years.
I’m looking forward to another challenge but in the times we are all living in …its a time to step up and give back from me.
“If you can donate, thank you. If you can’t don’t worry keep me in your thoughts and I’ll keep you close with me.
