A HARLOW resident write to us as he wanted to pay tribute to Harlow Scouts.
George Burnside said: “I walked past the scout hut at the top of School Lane earlier today and saw that they were taking their Easter fence display down.
1st Great Parndon Scouts have delighted us for the past year with increasingly colourful and imaginative displays and I was left wondering what their next offering would be, or if as lockdown was over the fence was to remain bare?
On my return I was delighted to see a new display having finishing touches done to it and I think it’s their best yet.
Their simple and poignant tribute to Prince Philip. As two of the Scout leaders were still there I had the chance to congratulate them on a job well done.
Zoe who introduced herself as the Beaver Leader said “It needed to be done, Scouts promise to do our duty to God and the Queen and this is part of our duty to her.”
Well done to everyone, you have done your the town, badge and group proud.
