Church Langley resident sheds light on path plunged into darkness

Communities / Fri 23rd Apr 2021 at 01:22pm

A Church Langley resident has called for the street lights to be replaced on a walkway in her area.

The walkway is near Kiln Lane and runs to Kingsdon Lane near Potter Street.

Sharon Brooks filmed the walkway at 10am and then again at 10pm.

Sharon contacted both Essex County and Harlow District councils via social media.

She tweeted: “Yet more lights out on Kiln Lane footpath/pond so now complete blackout along the footpath.

“What will it take for either Harlow Council or Essex Council to take responsibility and stop passing the buck.

Perhaps councillor Simon Carter could step in and sort out this “stand off”.

YH has contacted Church Langley cllr Carter. He said: “It is a complicated process that has not been helped by being unadopted when the developer created it.

“And now no-one seems to want to take responsiblilty but we will keep trying to find a solution.”
