Covid-19: How is Harlow doing?
Covid-19 / Sun 25th Apr 2021 at 02:56pm
AS we approach the end of April, we thought we would sum up how Harlow is doing.
Before we start, our thoughts are with the 535 people (and their families )who passed away at Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH).
We also hope that people have contracted Covid return to full health.
We always go back to January 9th, when Harlow reported 1327 cases of Covid.
Twenty wards at PAH were in use.
Where are we now?
There haven’t been any deaths at PAH for twenty three days.
Back on January 9th there were 204 Covid patients.
Less than five people are hospitalised just now.
There are between ten and people with Covid-19 in the town. The figure has been below 20 since March 5th
Dec 25th: 726
Jan 25th: 594
Feb 25th: 95
March 25th: 47
April: 25th: 12
A remarkable 41,129 Harlow residents have been vaccinated. That is just over half the population.
We have two more landmark dates as we follow the routemap out on May 17th and June 21st.
The school have been back a month and noon essential retail for two weeks. Things seem very stable.
We have a dedicated Covid-19 channel which has over 1200 stories.
