Appeal after teenage boy stabbed near town centre in Harlow

Statement from Essex Police

WE are appealing for witnesses and footage after a teenage boy was stabbed in Harlow.

We were called with reports of an incident in Sharpecroft, shortly after 4pm today, Saturday 1 May. 

It was reported that a teenage boy had been stabbed.

He suffered injuries which required hospital treatment. His injuries are not life-threatening. 

No arrests have been made and our enquiries are ongoing.

The suspect is described as wearing all black clothing as well as black trainers.

ESSEX Police has sealed off an underpass near the town centre.

Police presence was reported at just after 4pm today (Saturday).

The underpass runs under Haydens Road and connects Northbrooks with the shopping area near Playhouse Square.

Both uniform and plain clothes officers are in attendance.
