Carmageddon as hundreds flock to Tim Hortons on first weekend

Entertainment / Sat 8th May 2021 at 12:48pm

THERE was gridlock in Harlow at the weekend as traffic flocked to popular Canadian restaurant Tim Hortons.

The restaurant based at Edinburgh Way opened its doors on Tuesday but due to Covid-19 can only do Drive-Thru and Takeaway until Monday May 17th.

But its looked like hungry customers couldn’t wait.

Traffic tailed back in one direction to The Stow and in another direction to Harlow Railway station.

The traffic woes will bring into question that section of the A414.

At a recent planning meeting when a new Lidls was on the agenda, Cllr Bob Davis said he couldn’t vote for the application due to the state of the roads and general infrastructure issues.
